Back in 2020, I built a personal side project called Galexsa.
The idea was simple: create a demo trading environment for cryptocurrencies, powered by real market data.
With Galexsa, you could simulate trades, calculate your true average buy price, and track your portfolio’s performance — all without risking real money.
Why Was Galexsa Different?
- True Average Buy Price: Ever bought crypto in small chunks and lost track of your real entry price? Galexsa solved that.
- Real PnL Tracking: Connect your wallet and instantly see whether you’re truly in profit — or just wishful thinking.
- Pro-Style Trading Dashboard: An interactive, trading-style interface designed for learning and safe practice.
- Ahead of Its Time: Even Binance didn’t provide these features back then. Galexsa was one step ahead.
Tech Stack & Skills
Building Galexsa gave me hands-on experience with:
- Python & Data Analysis
- PostgreSQL & Blockchain
- NGINX & Django
- NumPy & RESTful API
- UI/UX Prototyping & Bootstrap
A Learning Project That Stood Out
Galexsa was never a startup or a commercial product.
It was a personal tool for experimenting with crypto analytics, testing new ideas, and learning by building.
Still, it remains one of my favorite projects — proving that with curiosity and code, you can create tools that even big platforms hadn’t imagined yet.
